How it works
- Gallons = area × coats ÷ coverage. Smooth walls cover about 350–400 sq ft per gallon; textured or bare surfaces about 250–300.
- Trim area = baseboard and casing length × face width. Doors are both sides when you paint them.
- Add your supplier's unit prices to any line for a cost estimate; tax and markup are optional.
How to measure
- Measure each room's length, width and wall height. Count doors and windows for the deduction.
Estimates only. Coverage, sizes and waste vary by product and job — verify with the manufacturer's specs and your local building code before ordering.
