How it works

  • Each straight run gets end or corner posts plus line posts at your spacing; every gate adds two gate posts.
  • Pickets per foot = 12 ÷ (picket width + gap), doubled for shadowbox. Rails default to 2 up to 4 ft tall, 3 up to 6 ft, then 4.
  • Add your supplier's unit prices to any line for a cost estimate; tax and markup are optional.

How to measure

  • Walk the line and measure each straight run between corners or ends. Gates are inside the runs — their width is deducted.

Estimates only. Coverage, sizes and waste vary by product and job — verify with the manufacturer's specs and your local building code before ordering.
