How it works
- Wall area = room perimeter × height − doors and windows. Ceilings are length × width.
- Finishing rates are typical for a level 4 finish: about 0.37 ft of tape per sq ft and one 4.5 gal bucket of all-purpose compound per ~450 sq ft.
- Add your supplier's unit prices to any line for a cost estimate; tax and markup are optional.
How to measure
- Measure each room's length, width and ceiling height. Treat closets as small rooms or add them as extra wall area.
Estimates only. Coverage, sizes and waste vary by product and job — verify with the manufacturer's specs and your local building code before ordering.
